Frequently asked questions

Is this handwriting worksheet maker really free?
Yes. You can generate and print unlimited tracing worksheets with dotted letters and guided lines for free, with no account. The small footer credit can be removed and premium features (cursive, dotted thirds, whole-class batches, saved presets) are unlocked with TraceSheet Pro.
How do I create a name tracing worksheet?
Choose “Focus word”, type the child’s name, adjust the size and line style if you like, then click Print or Save as PDF. The first row shows the name as a solid example, followed by rows of dotted traceable letters.
Does it support cursive and dotted thirds?
Yes. Cursive practice sheets, Australian dotted-thirds and D’Nealian-style guidelines are part of TraceSheet Pro, along with whole-class batches, workbooks and saved presets.
Can I make worksheets for my whole class at once?
Yes. Paste one student name per line into the class batch panel and TraceSheet produces one ready-to-print page per student. The free tier processes the first three names; Pro handles the whole class.
Can it make alphabet and number tracing worksheets?
Yes. Pick “Alphabet A–Z” for every letter as an uppercase/lowercase pair, or “Numbers 0–20” for numerals with optional number words (“1 one”, “2 two”…). Choose flowing pages or one page per letter, then print or download as usual.
Can I download a PDF file instead of using the print dialog?
Yes. The Download PDF button bundles every generated page — including whole-class batches — into a single PDF file, and the PNG button exports crisp high-resolution images. Both run entirely in your browser; your text is never uploaded.
Is it suitable for left-handed children?
Yes. Guides reference the baseline rather than left/right edges, so there's no handedness bias built in. Two tips: switch the guideline style to “Baseline only” so hands don’t smudge the middle line, and nudge the letter size up one step. Angle the paper slightly the opposite way to right-handed writers for a comfortable wrist position.
Do you store my students’ names or require an account?
No. Everything runs inside your browser. Names and settings never leave your device, there is no account, and nothing is uploaded to a server.
What is included in TraceSheet Pro and how do I cancel?
Pro ($6/month or $29/year) unlocks cursive fonts, dotted-thirds guidelines, unlimited class batches, the saved roster library, per-child PNG ZIP export, unlimited saved presets and removes the footer credit. Checkout and payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy and you can cancel anytime from your receipt email in one click.
Do you offer a school or campus licence?
Yes — the School licence is $59/year and covers up to 10 devices on one campus: every Pro feature (whole-class batches, cursive, dotted thirds, roster library, ZIP export) for the whole team. Pick it at checkout on the pricing page; invoice/purchase-order friendly.
