Privacy Policy

Effective August 22, 2026 · Plain English, because you're trusting us with your classroom.

The short version: Everything you type into the worksheet generator — student names, word lists, sentences — stays in your browser. We never receive it, store it, or see it. There are no accounts, no ad trackers, and we don't sell data (there's no data to sell).

1. What never leaves your device

The entire generator runs as JavaScript in your browser. When you type names, words, sentences, titles or instructions, they are processed in memory and rendered on screen. They are not transmitted to any server. The following are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only:

Your worksheet settings (fonts, sizes, guideline styles)
Saved presets (Pro)
Your Pro activation status (after you activate a license key)

Clearing your browser's site data erases all of it permanently. We cannot recover it, because we never had it.

2. What does leave your device (and why)

Fonts: Your browser downloads fonts (Andika, Comic Neue, Cedarville Cursive) from Google Fonts. Like any web request, Google sees your IP address and browser type. If you're offline, the generator falls back to system fonts and still works.
If you buy Pro: Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They collect the name, email and payment details you give at checkout, handle tax compliance, and email your receipt and license key. Card numbers go to them, never to us. Their privacy policy applies to checkout data.
If you activate a license key: Our serverless validator forwards your license key (plus a random device label) to Lemon Squeezy's license API to confirm it's genuine. The result (active/expired + expiry date) is cached in your browser. Your worksheet content is not part of this request.
Email: If you email us, obviously we see your email. Please don't send us student names or work samples.

3. Analytics — what we measure and what we deliberately don't

We collect one kind of strictly limited, cookieless analytics so we know which features matter (and which to kill):

Feature counters: Our own first-party counter records anonymous event totals such as “a worksheet was generated” or “the upgrade modal was opened”, with coarse metadata like which guideline style or paper size was selected. No cookies, no user IDs, no IP addresses stored, nothing tied to a person, and never the content you typed.

4. Children's privacy

You may enter children's names — that's the point of the tool — but because names typed into the generator remain on your device and are never transmitted to us, we do not collect children's personal information. We also don't knowingly collect any personal information from children via email or purchase flows.

5. Hosting & security

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, which maintains standard security request logs (including IP addresses) for abuse prevention. We don't use these logs for marketing or profiling. All connections are served over HTTPS.

6. Email updates (newsletter)

If you enter your email address into our signup form (in the page footer or after printing), we collect only that email address. It is sent through Formspree, a third-party form-handling service, and used for one purpose: sending you the free monthly printable pack and occasional product updates. We never sell or share it for advertising, and worksheet content you type into the generator is never transmitted or stored by us.

7. Changes & contact

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, add a notice on the homepage. Questions or deletion requests (though there's rarely anything stored to delete): tracesheetapp@proton.me.
